Are you looking to integrate Google's powerful APIs into your real estate website? Whether it's for enhancing your maps, using the Places API, or any other Google service, setting up an API key is the first crucial step.
If you're using a WordPress plugin like Estatik, setting up a Google API key is essential. Follow this step-by-step guide to get started.
Begin by visiting the Google Console and signing in with your Google account.
If you don’t have a project yet, create one. This project will manage your APIs and their credentials.
Navigate to the API section and enable the Google Maps API. You can do this here.
In addition to the Maps API, enable the Places API, Geocoding API, and Maps Static API for a comprehensive setup here
Once the APIs are enabled, go to "Keys & Credentials" and click on "Create Credentials" to generate your new API key.
It’s highly recommended to set restrictions on your API Key for security. If using Estatik Simple (PRO), set restrictions by domain.
Place the generated API Key in the Estatik plugin settings on your WordPress site.
For Estatik Premium users, create a second API Key with IP Address restrictions. Find your site's IP at https://2ip.io/lookup/ and get your website IP Address.
Set your API Key restrictions as shown in the provided screenshots and include your site's IP address.
And there you have it!
You're now a master at integrating Google APIs with Estatik.
Remember, with great power comes great responsibility. Keep your API key secure and use it wisely.
If you have any issue and the maps still do not work properly, our support will dig into it and help but please submit your tickets via Support Area.
